Tall and buff with the most impressive tiddies no doubt! The world isn't ready.
"I remember Andromeda," K says, perking up at the mention of the Catmoth. "We play together sometimes when you're busy. Maybe she'll remember me, too." Which Jayce may or may not have been aware of before now. Surprise.
The combination of all those positive feelings, wanting to forget that unpleasant memory, and Jayce touching his shoulder encourages K to lean a bit further toward him. It also causes an even more curious sensation, almost like his nerves are buzzing, urging him to—
And just like that, an Abyssinian kitten (wearing a too-big flower crown) now sits where the child android previously was. It seems the strange de-aging also affects his Familiar forms. This, too, is a phenomenon he remembers, and it only takes him a few moments to adjust to his new, even more diminutive form before he's climbing onto Jayce with a look of kitten-determination. It feels like what he's meant to do. Besides, it'll be safer being off the ground.
"I hope I get to stay in this world," he says in response to Jayce's assessment of Folkmore, still climbing up him. "Or wherever you are." Since Jayce might not feel the same way about this world and want to return to his home universe one day. It seems unlikely Thirteen would ever allow K to accompany him, but an android can always dream. Who knows, maybe one day they'll figure out a way around Thirteen's limitations and rules.
"The food does smell good," he notes, an invitation for Jayce to get some — for both himself and his kitten passenger.
Nor the world nor the shirts they are going to use. Heh.
"Yes! I'm sure she will remember you as well." Kid or adult, cats can always tell, and K most likely still smells the same way he usually does to her. Jayce feels almost like melting after knowing that they play together when he's busy somewhere. How he wishes he had seen it.
He lets out a soft, surprised sound when K's form shrinks out of the blue, alarmed for a second before it dawns on him that he's now holding the most adorable kitty in existence. Jayce looks down at him and chuckles, K needs to grow into those ears, but that only makes him even cuter in his eyes, more so thanks to the flower crown.
"Aren't you the sweetest?" Jayce murmurs it mostly to himself, his arm under K to make sure he's held up properly at no risk of falling. There's no way he isn't flooding their bond with delighted and loving feelings.
"Me too. We will stay together, promise." He runs a hand up and down K's back and then lightly scratches him under the chin once the kitty has stopped climbing him. He starts to move toward the nearby tables after that comment, smiling all the way.
"Normal cats can't usually eat most of these dishes, but I know that's not an issue for Familiars. You don't have to worry about getting sick, even if you want to eat sweets." Most of the food has been prepared using fire in some way or another, but they do have sweets! Jayce can see a tray full of homemade meringue, next to a bowl of fruits. "What are you in the mood for? Meat? Chicken...?"
The petting elicits an elevator-butt response before K's even fully aware of doing it, and beyond a slightly confused glance at his hind end (is that supposed to happen?) he's happy receiving all the attention, also leaning into the chin scritches with half-closed eyes. Hmmmm, yes... it's no wonder he chose to bond with Jayce, he knows all the Good Spots. There's also the love he can feel through their bond directed at him, a now familiar sensation that he reciprocates without conscious thought. Some aspects of his memory may still be hazy, but his instincts make up for it.
He doesn't normally care for meat, but likely due to his current form, he can't deny that it actually sounds — and smells — good.
"Yes," he replies, leaning over Jayce's arm a little ways to get a better look at the spread, grateful for the much higher vantage point this affords him. Unfortunately for Jayce, this means K's going to want to be carried more often while he's stuck in these diminutive forms.
"A little of everything?" he suggests, trusting what Jayce says about not getting sick regardless of what he eats. Meats, fruits, sweets, it all looks good to him, and there's a lot of offerings he's never had before. "What do you like?" he wonders. A smile is audible in his voice as he recalls, "I like cooking for you. I think most days you'd forget to eat if I didn't." A pause. "But I won't be able to reach the cupboards now..."
And he suddenly has concerns about the likelihood of Jayce starving. Maybe they should take a few extra plates of food home with them in case.
