I'm not really sure how to explain that. I am not an expert musician, so I can only tell you how it makes me feel rather than give you any specifics.
I think part of the magic is in the composition, even slow classical pieces have a complex structure, and are not overly repetitive. Not all pieces, of course, but a lot of classical music is on the slow side, which also affects the way the body responds. Our hearts react to music's frequency, tempo, and rhythm, and it's proven that classical music can lower your blood pressure. The way the brain interprets classical music can bring people to tears of joy, just like a blunt and sudden sound, like a gunshot, is enough to cause fear.
Harmonic progressions, melodic phrases, proper rhythm... all of this matters if you want to elevate a good song to a great one, but I believe the key is to compose and sing from the heart. Give all you have, even if it's to compose a happy tune or to share your nostalgia through music.
[ Jayce is silent for a few seconds after that, sighing softly to himself before clearing his throat. ]
I talk too much sometimes. Sorry about the rambling. Are you still with me?
I'd say that being a god is no easy task either, and you clearly have a lot of love for music, Inanna. Thank you. I can show them to you one day, or you could come see the new lab and forge I have in Willow. I have plenty of half-drawn projects there already.
