⚒ METAL CHEST OF UNREFINED HEXTECH CRYSTALS
A reinforced chest with a special lock containing 8 raw Hextech Crystals. They are extremely volatile and explode once hit, even if the impact is light. They are the base of the Hextech technology, but they need to be handed carefully an converted into gems to be usable.
⚒ BOX OF HEXTECH GEMS
A small box containing three upgraded and perfectly stable Hextech Crystals in the form of round blue gems. They don't explode on impact and with the right knowledge, they can be used to power artifacts (like the Hexgates) and tools (the Atlas Gauntlets, the Mercury hammer...), giving them all sorts of magical properties. They can power virtually anything when used alongside a combination of specific magic runes.
⚒ MERCURY HAMMER / MERCURY CANNON
A transforming weapon powered by a Hextech gemstone and magic runes. The hammer's head and pommel are enhanced so that its ability to deal heavy blows is intensified. It can transform into a blaster that can shoot lightning orbs. It can also emit an electrical field that surrounds Jayce and knocks back and electrocutes nearby enemies, acting as a shield against attacks. Here's a video showing it in action.

Powers —
Skills:
⚒ INTELLECT
Jayce has a genius-level intelligence and is an expert inventor, engineer, and blacksmith, often bringing his own creations to life in his forge. He can design (he's made both blueprints for projects and casual drawings as a hobby) and build pretty much anything, from simple tools to complex airships.
After years of studying all the available information on magic he could get his hands on, he memorized a large variety of runes and is capable of designing inventions that blend the arcane with traditional technology.
He's also grown to be a relatively skilled diplomat, despite not really enjoying all the facets that come with being the face of Hextech, and the hard choices one has to make while being part of the political sphere.
⚒ COMBAT
He is not a combatant and dislikes violence and conflict - to the point that spilled blood makes him nauseous- but he can be rather skilled in a fight. While not superhuman, just in good health and in his prime, Jayce has notable physical strength and agility. He is capable of swinging around the Mercury hammer, a weapon as big as he is tall, with uncanny casualness and dexterity. He moves it in controlled swings strong enough to shatter bones on impact, without seemingly getting overly tired, and he's fast enough to doge attack even when carrying the hammer.

Superpowers: Thanks to the confluence, Jayce now gains three powers, but he won't be immediately aware of them, and some like the third ability (Energy Healing)might take a bit to manifest/will need a trigger.
⚒ DIMENSIONAL STORAGE aka Hammerspace
The ability to store objects in a fold of space to materialize them at will. To use this ability, Jayce has to trade an item for another (ie., this tie for the hammer, a pencil for an umbrella...) to summon it. As a result, he can't use the trading ability if he is naked and has no object to switch within the space fold. The mass of the objects doesn't need to match, so he's going to start carrying around a deck of cards so he can trade them for whatever he needs to reach in the fold.
He can also absorb attacks opening a fold of space to suck them in, to either nullify them or release them later. It doesn't work with living organisms, they simply can't enter or be absorbed into the fold.
⚒ ANIMAL SHAPESHIFTING
The power to alter one's form and appearance into any known animal on Earth, past and present. He maintains the ability to speak while in a different form, but can also make animals sounds. As an animal, Jayce retains his golden eyes and the scar on his right eyebrow. Since the transformation is caused by the confluence/magic, his clothes disappear and reappear when shifting.
Jayce can only shapeshift into animals that are real (not Godzilla, unicorns, etc...) and that exist on earth (so no changing into creatures of Runeterra). The size limits are that he can't shapeshift into anything smaller than a field mouse or bigger than a Gigantosaurus. That rules out creatures like insects, germs, microscopic organisms like tardigrades...and also bigger ones like whales, megalodons, Titanosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, etc.
He needs to be in control of his body for the shapeshifting to work properly. If he gets sick, drunk, or medicated/drugged in some way, the power might act haywire or be inaccessible. Partial transformations (ie, only having claws like a wolf, the eyes of an owl, a tail, wings...) could are possible and somewhat easier to accomplish, but fully changing into an animal without meaning to could happen involuntarily if he is stressed out.
Staying too long in a form may end up altering Jayce's mind and have him display more animalistic traits or instincts. If that happens, he needs to be rendered unconscious, so his mind can 'reset'. Then his body would automatically shapeshift back to its original human form.
⚒ ENERGY HEALING
The ability to cure others from injury and illness using his life force energy. The greater the injury/illness the more energy and time it takes to work. Healing someone leaves Jayce tethered to them for a limited amount of time, depending on how much energy he had to give away. That means that for a short while, it's his body the one that feels any new damage inflicted, while the other person can feel his emotions.
The downsides of this power are a few: He can't heal himself. If he keeps using the power in short succession with not enough recovery time or gives too much life force, he's at risk of passing out or even death. He also gets really hungry when his energy reserves are low and needs to eat more to compensate for the loss.

Limitations:
⚒ HUMANITY
He is, at his core, a simple human with no enhanced physical abilities or any kind of mental barrier to protect him from attacks. A bullet to the head or a sword through his heart could easily kill him. The new powers he gained also have limitations and side effects that take a toll on his body.
⚒ FISH OUT OF TEMPORAL WATER
Jayce is unfamiliar with the current time period and modern technology, and he's going to have to adapt to modern times. The scientist in him will be thrilled, but there are so many new things to learn and so many possible mistakes that could happen.
⚒ POWERS DOWNSIDES
All of his powers also come with the limitations listed in their section: the need to trade objects, the amount of energy he can give, the size of the animals he can turn into...He is very new to having any kind of superhuman ability, learning to master his new powers will be a process of trial and error, even if he's generally a fast learner.

Personality —
In the course of the series' 3 acts, Jayce goes through multiple character developments, losing some of his initial idealism and learning how to play the political game.
At the beginning of Act 1, he's a young scientist in pursuit of a dream, dedicating his life to it to an almost obsessive degree. It's shown in extreme detail in the Council Archives/Jayce's Journal part of the wiki, when even his mother begs him to take breaks.
He wants to do science and bring magic to people, so he can improve their existence because he's seen the good it could do and the lives it could save. He is a brilliant guy, a quick thinker, and a doer, but he's not great with social skills. And yet, he's tossed into the world of politics in Act 2, appointed the public image of Hextech despite his insistence that Viktor deserves half the credit as the co-creator of Hextech, and later forced to make the ugly, tough decisions.
Not to say he doesn't enjoy some attention, of course. He's got a vain side, a tempter that flares when he's truly frustrated, and he's also very emotional and stubborn at times. But under all of that, Jayce is a painfully shy, painfully self-anxious man, and someone who doesn't understand flirting when people are literally throwing themselves at him. This man's brain cells are focused on science crimes, magic rocks, and little else.
Jayce is also occasionally a people-pleaser who has a hard time putting his foot down and voicing his opinions, especially about matters he doesn't know well. When that happens, he defaults to listening to what others think about the ongoing issues and changes his points of view, which makes him easy to manipulate.
Until he isn't.
Act 3 shows his growing ability to navigate politics and make his own decisions, and it's also then that some of his biggest mistakes take place. With all the manipulative and dangerous elements all around him, the interactions with the Undercity being mostly acts of terrorism/violence/theft committed toward Piltover, and his accidental killing of a child during a Shimmer factory raid, Jayce is at his limit.
The corruption of the upper class and their disregard for Zaun's problems is something that Jayce, in lieu of noticing, feels that he had to fix or no one else would. His love for Viktor and the council's inaction prompts him to kick Heimerdinger, someone Jayce sees as a mentor/paternal figure, out of the council. He later offer a peace treaty to Silco, that might have been successful if Silco's love for Jinx weren't a factor, and practically strongarms the Council into accepting it. All because things needed to change, because his best friend is dying, and there's a war in the horizon.
Jayce continues to make difficult, unpopular decisions while considering the greater good and all the mistakes that led them to that point. He is willing to go to the frontline and fight to defend his city and the people he cares about, even though Jayce can hardly stomach the violence. He is far from a perfect man, but he always strives to learn and fix his errors, like any scientist worth his salt.
By the end of the show, he is left scarred by the things he's seen and done, but still looking for solutions and ways to better himself and do right.
Gameplay —
Areas of Interest / Brainstorming:
Jayce is generally a pretty easy-going guy, who almost always gets dragged into people's problems, and feels the need to help when he can, so it seems like the game setting will be right up his alley. He likes helping people and improving their lives, and he'd want to assist others with his inventions.
He will arrive in-game after a long period of stress for him, so I also look forward to giving him a break while simultaneously having to adapt to a whole different world with new rules, new technology, and where people with powers and magic are not so rare. I'd like to perhaps involve him in trying to improve the Metas' public image and do some PR. He's got a good face for that.
